A dreamy little diversion

Today's post was going to be a crank about the latest business idiocy out of Wells Fargo. But that can wait until Monday. With all the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days we've been having - and the hits just keep coming: the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad occupant of the Oval Office just called Kamala Harris a monster - I thought we could all use a bit of a smile.

So if you haven't seen it, here's a link to a YouTube of Idaho's Nathan Apodaca, who went viral with a TikTok of himself skateboarding while slugging down some Ocean Spray. And, oh yes, lip synching to Fleetwood Mac's Dreams

Apodaca's vid went viral, and his joy ride got him a nice, new cranberry-red truck, courtesy of Ocean Spray. And some donations so that he can move out of the RV he's been living in. It also spawned a ton of imitators who took the Ocean Spray-Dreams challenge. Including one from Mick Fleetwood himself. (We've yet to hear from Stevie Nicks, but lookin' good, Mick.)

Perhaps the best imitation to be had came from the fly on Mike Pence's head.

For those who a) didn't watch the VP debate; b) shun all news, a fly landed on Pence's pate during the debate, and moseyed around there for a full two minutes, with Pence ignoring it. It was pretty funny, especially when you consider what flies are drawn to - and that, in olden days, a fly on someone in a painting was considered a symbol of that someone's rot.

I have no idea whether you need Twitter and/or TikTok to see this, but check out the Ocean Spray-slurping fly in action here.

Something the Internet is just a thing of joy.

You're welcome.
