Betcha they plan on having a Cabela's or a knife store of some kind. LOL.

I, too, find these sort of developments weird--they remind me of things like the old movie Westworld that featured Yul Brynner as a gunslinging android run amok.

KathleenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10329278.post-83591354639989466922007-09-12T09:35:00.000-03:002007-09-12T09:35:00.000-03:00Isn't this the famed Patriot Place ManMall? Where else can a Man shop and feel comfortable with his M'urse and be able to buy bait and tackle with his buddies while sipping a round of wine coolers? Certainly not at any of the existing malls! If I'm not mistaken, this "development" isn't really billed as a Simon Mall wannabe - it is really just part of a broader plan to develop a year-round convention/conference center with the stadium as the focal point. The Krafts are already pushing the conference business at the site. I believe this place will be the second largest exhibition space in New England, larger than the Hynes and the ever lovely Expo. The Mall is part of the plan to "seed" the on-site hotel and development with "activity". I think the losers of this will be the smaller venue/conference cities of Providence and Portland, not to mention the denizens of the fine burg of Foxborough.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
